Celebrating 40 years of providing scholarships to Hawaii Island!

For four decades, HCFCU has awarded college scholarships to well-deserving students committed to furthering their education. Our online application streamlines the process, allowing applicants to save their progress and complete it when they're ready.

Beginning with the 2026 scholarship cycle, HCFCU will award twelve scholarships at $4,000 each, an increase from the previous ten scholarships of $3,000. This expansion recognizes the rising cost of college and training programs and helps local students pursue their goals with fewer financial barriers.

Interest in HCFCU's scholarships continues to grow. By increasing both the award amounts and the number of scholarships, we are making a greater impact across our island. The updated program includes one additional general scholarship and one additional postgraduate scholarship.

Our scholarships are proudly named after distinguished volunteers and managers of Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union.
