scholarships to Hawaii Island!

Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union is proud to offer eight $3,000 scholarships. For 34 years we have awarded these scholarships to well deserving students who are ready to go out into the world and continue their education. Our online application streamlines the process and allows the applicants to save their work and complete it when they are ready.

Eligibility Requirements

Our Scholarships are open to our Hawaii Island communities. You do not have to be a member of Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union. You must meet at least one of the following requirements to be eligible to apply.

  • Graduating senior from any island of Hawaii high school and planning to attend a post-secondary community college with a minimum of two (2)-year curriculum or a four (4)-year college as a full-time student during the next school year; or
  • A post graduate from an island of Hawaii high school  and planning to attend a post-secondary community college with a minimum of two (2)-year curriculum or a four (4)-year college as a full-time student during the next school year.

Submission Requirements

The following is required in order to complete your application.
 
  • Academic Record (GPA verified by counselor)
  • Achievements, Honors & Extra-Curricular Activities
  • Career Goals & Educational Plans
  • Completed FAFSA (EFC verified by counselor)

1 Recipient must be planning to study in an agriculture-related field.
2 Recipient must be an active Student Credit Union personnel or volunteer.
3 Recipient must be a post-graduate from an island of Hawaii high school. Currently attending college or going back to college.
