Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union (HCFCU) is pleased to announce Samantha Leigh as its Human Resources Manager. She will be responsible for the Human Resources and Training Departments, and will oversee the Credit Union’s performance management, employee relations and service excellence.
Samantha has extensive experience in Human Resources Management. She worked for Roberts Hawaii as Human Resource Generalist and the Sheraton Kona Resort and Spa as Human Resource Coordinator. She plans to complete her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) training and certification in 2017.
Samantha started her career in Brisbane, Australia and spent several years working there as an employment law attorney before moving to Kona, Hawaii.

Samantha attended Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) and Bachelor of Business with a major in Human Resource Management. In Australia 2012, she continued her education by passing the bar exam to become a lawyer, and also completed her Masters in Law (LLM) in 2015 at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. As part of that program she spent a summer semester studying at Columbia Law School in New York City.
Samantha is also actively involved as a volunteer with Project Vision Hawaii and also the Hawaii Island Humane Society and Kohala Animal Relocation and Education Service.
