HCFCU recognizes employee commitment

Kailua-Kona, Island of Hawaii - Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union (HCFCU)
on the Island of Hawaii honored several of its long-time employees and named
Elsie Miguel as its employee of the year at its recent 69th annual membership
meeting. More than 500 members attended the April 8 meeting.
HCFCU's network officer Elsie Miguel, a three-year
employee, was named employee of the year for working tirelessly through
the end of 2005 to get the data/phone network operational for the new Branch & Administrative
Offices at Kaloko. She was applauded for working evenings and weekends without
complaint, interacting with vendors and consultants without losing her smile.
Also recognized for their commitments were: Toni
Claire Haanio, senior operations officer, 25 years; Michael Asam, president/
CEO, Dean Uemura, executive vice president - support services, and Rodney
Watanabe, executive vice president - member services, 20 years; Frank Thompson,
director, 15 years; Kelly Gorloff, training specialist, 10 years; Andrea
Hori, teller clerk II, and Natalie Oblero, account clerk II, five years.
HCFCU has been serving Island of Hawaii residents
for 69 years. It is a $296 million asset not-for-profit credit union that
