- May 24, 2013 Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the winners of its 2013 Scholarship Program. $13,500 was awarded to six Hawaii Island high school seniors, selected from a field of over 69 applicants from 12 HawaiiIslandhigh schools, a home school and an onlineschool. The scholarships are awarded to high school graduates planning to attend a two or four-year institute of higher learning in the coming school year. Each scholarship is named after a community volunteer who made important contributions to Hawaii Community FCU.

5,420 lbs. of Food Raised for Food Basket
Staff and members of Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union donated 1,012 lbs of food and $1,422 in cash donations to the annual Food Basket Feed-A-Thon. Spokesperson, Tommy “Kahikina” Ching, equated this to 5,420 lbs. of food that will help to feed the hungry on Hawaii Island.

- December 10, 2012 Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union’s Market Day, held annually at each of its five branches to celebrate International Credit Union Day, raised $21,138 this year to benefit the West Hawaii Community Health Center.
