Phishing Alert: Automated Phone Calls
May 9, 2012
Members of Hawaii Community Federal Credut Union and other credit unions have reported receiving automated phone calls that claim to be from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). The call informs members that their card has been compromised and locked. If you receive this call, please DO NOT RESPOND. This is a scam and Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union would never ask you via an automated phone call, e-mail, or text for your private financial information.
Text messages have also been sent with a similar message on members’ cell phones. The text does not identify the sender of the text. Please DO NOT RESPOND to the text.
If you have already responded to the call or text, please contact us at (808) 930-7700 (Big Island) or (800) 514-2328 (Mainland and neighbor islands). You may also stop by any one of our branch locations to speak with a representative.
