PURPOSE OF THIS STATEMENT.
This statement describes Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union's efforts to protect the non-public personal information we obtain from visitors to our website and the measures we take to protect the non-public personal information of members who use any or all of the Credit Union's online services which are available on our website. This statement also describes how the Credit Union may use the non-public personal information we may obtain from visitors to our website. The Credit Union reserves the right to change this statement at any time. Please also refer to the Credit Union's general Privacy Notice.
E-MAIL, POSTAL MAILING ADDRESSES, AND PHONE NUMBERS. When you furnish us with your e-mail address, postal mailing address, or phone number through our website so that we can respond to a request you made online, we will use your e-mail, postal mailing address and phone number only to respond to your request. If you would like us to change your address, phone number, or e-mail address on our account records, please submit the changes in writing. You can make the changes by mail or in person at the Credit Union. If you are sending the changes by mail, please include your account number along with your signature.
CALCULATORS AND OTHER TOOLS. The Credit Union may provide certain financial planning tools on its website for use by its members and visitors to its website. The Credit Union does not capture any personal information you provide while using these tools.
SURVEYS. Surveys conducted on our website are voluntary. When you respond to a survey we have posted on our website, the personal information you furnish will be used by the Credit Union only to improve service and develop new products and services for members. The personal information obtained from the survey will then be purged from the system.
CONTESTS. Contests conducted on our website are voluntary. When the Credit Union conducts a contest on its website, the personal information you furnish will be used by the Credit Union only to complete the contest it is conducting. The personal information obtained from the contest will then be purged from the system.
E-BRANCH ONLINE SERVICES. E-Branch Online Services is Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union's online home banking service. This service allows members to have access to and to conduct transactions electronically on their account and to pay bills electronically. The Credit Union uses several outside vendors to deliver this service to its members.
We protect your personal information with state-of-the-art internet technology. Your non-public personal information is encrypted by using Secure Sockets Layer technology. This technology provides communication and server protection and encrypts transactions between the member and vendors.
When you sign in to E-Branch Online Services, we recommend that you do not access any other website during your E-Branch Online Services session. Always sign off from your E-Branch Online Services session before logging in to another website or turning off your computer.
COOKIES. A Cookie is a file sent from a website to a computer that is signed on to the website. This file allows the website to recognize if the computer has visited the site before and what security requirements and browser preferences the computer requires. These cookies expire after a limited time and do not contain any personal information nor is any cookie shared with any other website. We do not store any e-mail addresses, user names or other personal information in cookies.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY. Our web site is directed to a general audience. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly market to children on our site. We recognize that protecting children's identities and privacy online is important and that the responsibility to do so rests with both the online industry and with parents.
